Auditions

Auditions for the Theatre Restaurant "The Outback Debutantes' Ball" will be held May 20th and 22nd.

This is another hilarious Judith Prior theatre restaurant and should delight audiences as much as last year's performance of Sailing South. Once again the show will be directed by Jean Bowra.

In this production we have a small town that is fighting to save the local hall and the best way to get a government grant is to put on a deb ball and hope that a government grant will follow.

Cast needed are as follows: (all ages are stage age - doesn't matter if you are older/younger as long as we can make you look the age)

  • 6 females - 16-25ish - some are solo singing, some group singing and all dance
  • 3 females - 30-50ish - one solo singer, others group singing
  • 3 males - 18-35ish - cowboys, 2 solo singing
  • 3 male or female - one of these is major solo role, others minor roles, one non speaking.

Also needed is a large chorus willing not only to sing together, but people wanted to line dance!!! Especially some who can teach us some line dancing steps. All ages over 15 welcome, male and female - the bigger the chorus the better.

This is a fun filled production that should delight audiences as well as giving all cast lots of fun, so come along and join us and let's make this a super show.

Performances are 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th of July, 1st, 2nd of August, plus a matinee 27th July.
