Sandgate Theatre opened in 1958, making 2008 our 50th anniversary, and to celebrate we are re-performing the very first play that Sandgate Theatre performed - Loves a Luxury.
Love's a Luxury by Guy Paxton and Edward V. Hoile, and directed by Shane McLennan, is a farcical comedy about a philanderous theatre producer, and his jealous wife when he tries to escape for a peaceful weekend. Love's a Luxury was first performed in 1942.
