Sandgate Theatre opened in 1958, making 2008 our 50th anniversary, and to celebrate we are re-performing the very first play that Sandgate Theatre performed - Loves a Luxury.

Love's a Luxury by Guy Paxton and Edward V. Hoile, and directed by Shane McLennan, is a farcical comedy about a philanderous theatre producer, and his jealous wife when he tries to escape for a peaceful weekend.

Auditions will be on July 29th and 31st at Sandgate Town Hall at 7:30pm.

Casting:
Charles Pentwick	male, 40-70 - rich theatre entrepreneur
Margaret Pentwick	female - 25-45 - depends on Charles' age as this is his younger 'trophy' wife
Dick Pentwick	male, son of Charles, very English upper middle class - 20-35
Molly Harris	female, daughter of housekeeper, cheeky and attractive - 18-30
Fritzy Villiers	female, 20-35, very smart London girl
Bobby Bentley	male - 25-35, actor and friend of Charles - must dress as woman for part of the production
Mr Mole	male, 30+. rather vague neighbour, camping for the holidays
Mrs Harris	female, 35+, Mother of Molly, small role.

Performing November 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, and a matinee 16th November 2pm.
